The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (2,980 cases) possesses big, sweet, smoky oak, cedary, blackberry, and cassis aromas as well as flavors offered in a rich, voluptuous, full-bodied style. While it is already deliciously drinkable (surprising for a 2001), there is abundant tannin lurking underneath the surface, but it is well-concealed by a wealth of fruit. This selection comes from four sources, the Crane, To-Kalon, Hyde, and Stagecoach vineyards.
