Robert Foley is the winemaker for Pride Mountain Vineyards since . Time and time again, in blind tastings, Pride’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Claret are chosen as the top few red wines.
His own Napa Valley Claret has received top scores as well in virtually all publications in all vintage years, recently receiving a 99-point score from esteemed wine “guru” Robert Parker. His 2003 Claret was a Wine Spectator Pick of the Week wine, and he was the cover story of their November 15, 2005 issue.
He numbers many top wineries as clients, among them Switchback Ridge, Hourglass, formerly Paloma (their 2001 Merlot having been chosen #1 Wine of the Year by the Wine Spectator in 2003).
